Each year, our company takes on at least one pro bono client in order to give back to the community. For several years, we had the privilege of working with the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT) to boost their public awareness and civic engagement.
Our work encompassed three key areas: help raise dollars in their fundraising efforts, boost ticket sales for their annual SNAP photography event, and engage with youth and other stakeholders through the act in focus series.
The act of giving video was premiered at a Giving Tuesday event, and then subsequently leveraged online. Its purpose was to show the journey of individuals living with HIV, and how ACT has helped and empowered them in their journey.
SNAP is ACT’s annual photographic fundraiser featuring a live curatorial collection and a photo competition collection and has provided patrons with an opportunity to support ACT’s programs and services, increase their awareness of HIV and AIDS, and add to their art collections. Our company produced promo videos for the event featuring guest artists, as well as an interview with Joe Mimran, SNAP honorary Chair and Founder of Joe Fresh & Club Monaco.
Finally, act in focus was a series of videos produced to highlight the work of ACT and engage with members. One of our favourite videos featured the Totally outRIGHT program, that creates a safe space for young people living with HIV to come together, share, and empower one another.
